About Grid Reaction Test (APM)

The Grid Reaction Test is designed to measure your raw reaction speed and mouse accuracy. Unlike simple clicking tests, this tool requires you to quickly identify and click specific targets on a grid. This simulates real gaming scenarios where precision and speed are equally important. It's an excellent warm-up for FPS and MOBA players.

Frequently Asked Questions

APM stands for Actions Per Minute. This test measures how many unique targets you can accurately click in a minute. It combines reaction time, accuracy, and clicking speed to give you a comprehensive score.
Your APM score is calculated based on the number of correct targets you click within the given time limit. The formula is: (Correct Clicks / Time in Seconds) * 60. Errors or missed clicks do not count towards your score.
Yes. A smaller grid (e.g., 3x3) requires less mouse movement, potentially allowing for higher speeds. A larger grid (e.g., 5x5) requires more precision and longer mouse movements, which is great for training wide-range aiming but might result in a slightly lower raw APM.
A score between 60-90 is typical for casual computer users. Gamers often reach 90-120 APM. Anything above 120 is considered excellent, and scores over 150 are elite (Speed Demon level).
Consistency is key. Practice regularly to build muscle memory. Focus on accuracy before speed—it's better to be slow and accurate than fast and miss targets. Also, ensure your mouse sensitivity is comfortable; many pros use lower sensitivity for better precision.
