About Web Server Check

The Web Server Checker is a free diagnostic tool that allows you to inspect the 'handshake' information a website sends back to your browser. By determining the Web Server Software (such as Nginx, Apache, or Internet Information Services) and the underlying Operating System (OS), developers and security researchers can gain valuable insights into a site's infrastructure. This tool works by fetching the public HTTP headers of the target URL. These headers often contain a 'Server' field or 'X-Powered-By' field that acts as a digital signature for the technology stack running the site.
